Hey I know this is a super old thread but I'm trying to install these same tacoma lines and it doesn't seem to want to thread onto the brake fitting, curious if your hard line looking something like this? The problem seems to be with the unthreaded portion.

Glad you ended up with everything in clearance. Curious how many miles are on your 3.4? been looking at this job as well and seems like the real pain in the neck is getting the shims out with the cam in. I’m not afraid to pull the exhaust cam and it looks way easier than messing with prying...
