I don't have these long tubes but people with body lifts have issies clearing the steering shaft. most dent the header. I wasn't willing to.

Just to address this.... I would never hit the header with a hammer. I used the smaller bolts, and used a grinder to take a very small amount of material off of the steering stem. Looks like I will be taking the steering shaft off again and doing a little more grinding.

If you looks at the pics its not rubbing at the bolts its rubbing below that in the "ribbed" section of the steering shaft. My initial thought is the shaft is bent but would be perplexed as to how that would happen. I may just grind down the area that is rubbing and call it a day. But based...
