Screwed up the electric fan install

Gent's, I need some help if anyone has any idea what I have done. I pulled the radiator and installed the fan. Then I was messing with the black and blue wire. I touched them to the battery to make sure the fan turned. Fine. Then I started looking for a hot wire to tie into. Touched the...

If a person wanted to rebuild a 3.0 engine is there anything you can do to improve the milage from the crank up? Assume cost is no concern. Thanks

    Quality radiator / heater hoses?

Is anyone aware of any hose kits that contain quality hoses for a 2nd gen? I can't seem to find anything specific and that just seems odd to me. Those hoses are a PITA to change so it makes sense that someone would make a good set that won't go bad soon. Any thoughts?

Rough rich running prob. Vac lines?

Thanks Steven. I found the tube for the one vac line just as you suggested. The two in front of the block I have no clue as there is no hose. I'll be ordering the Factory Service Manual shortly and will plug them up in the mean time. I figured that wire might be a ground, just based on it's...

Rough rich running prob. Vac lines?

My 2nd gen (95) 4Runner is suddenly rough starting, running very rich (black smoke and gas smell) and is slowly getting worse. I've cleaned the KN air filter with no effect. I have a couple of vac lines that are not right (see pics), but this isn't new. It's been that way since I bought it...

    Reading/understanding torque specs

Torque Wrench size Thanks again for all the info. Now I am looking to buy a torque wrench. I've got a guy offering me a 3/8 Snap-on. What I want to do is tie rod ends right now. Will this suffice or should I hold out for the 1/2 inch?

    Reading/understanding torque specs

I'm trying to understand from the manual what I should torque down my tie rod end nuts to. The manual shows: 90 (820, 57) 57 ft lbs? Any help is greatly appreciated.

    Gas Mileage

Gas 15.2 mostly highway for the last tank. V6 AT with AC blowing (Arizona). That's driving it pretty easy and keeping it at 65mpg. All stock. Thinking of adding headers. Anyone have good results with improved millage with headers? What else can be done?

    Best Tie Rods,etc....

Is there any qualitative assessment of a best tie rod product (or other front end products for that matter)? Moog, Beck? I've done some searching but all I can really find are a few vague opinions. Any help greatly appreciated. I'd like to put in good parts once. :)

Rear diff pinion and gasket fix = 482 bucks?

Thanks Chris. I took a look under there and it looks like just the pinion seal is leaking. That might be a pretty easy fix, even for me to do. I might give that a shot first.

Rear diff pinion and gasket fix = 482 bucks?

Bearings Nope, just the seal and gasket(s). I'm thinking about just getting a locker and putting it in myself. Thoughts? Something like this: http://www.northwestoffroad.com/parts/diff_dr.html Or actually: http://www.northwestoffroad.com/parts/diff_detroit.html#locker
