This is actually a common misconception. Higher octane does not give you better mileage if the car does not require a higher octane for timing or compression, like the 3.4l.

Do you struggle seeing? I would recommend if you're not really struggling to see with your normal bulbs to just upgrade to the silverstar ultras. They will provide more light but are affordable.
