By no means do I believe this is a fix as much as it is a band-aid. At least I can drive the vehicle to a shop. It feels like its running strong but from what little I know its only a matter of time and from my friend said it was most likely clutch material as well.

Gentlemen, I am happy to report that the 4 runner is working! Friend dropped the pan and there was a lot of sediment on the bottom and especially the filter. Cleaned out the pan, new transmission fluid and filter. Initially there was an issue with the gear not engaging in first from a stop...
