there were a lot of pot holes. but it was the side cable that broke. man you say they are easy to put on. i had to use vice grips to stretch the cable to get them on. i know i had the right size. but man they were hard to get on. which link under sig is the pic?

I only got two uses out of them. They recently broke. I was driving about 40mph on some wet road for about 3 miles. I was going to pull over and take them but one of the cables brok before I had a chance to pulll over.

2WD 4Runner Okay I'm one of the idiots who bought a 2WD 4runner. Yes I'm paying the price. I was in the snow this weekend and one of my snow tire cables busted. I'm going to buy another pair. Does anyone have any recommendations? Thanks.

i'm glad i found this site. yeah the dealer wants about $90 to replace the mast. i think i'll try it myself. are there any diagrams posted anywhere? it seems like the hardest part is feeding mast correctly.
