Thanks Humble Leader. The port doesn't look OEM and it actually fits loosely in its space. I will track the wires and they will probably lead me to the box. I think I can upload images now and an image of the ignition area just in case there is something out of place here:

Amazing how some more space and sunlight can help. Definitely not a remote starter but I believe it's a Lojack GPS tracking system. I'll try to attach some pics. I'll have to see what all is involved in removing that system. There has to be more to it than the harness. Must be a box somewhere...
