I started at the half moon north TH. It is a much shorter trail to the summit, but it much more steep than the East Side trail for Mt Massive. 3700' elevation gain in 3.5 miles. The Elbert trail is really simple and gets quite busy mid morning. I believe that was my first 14er about 10 years ago.

It would be nice to not have to manually downshift to 3rd while going up I-70W to the mountains. If they can keep the cost around $3k, I will be getting this. My fear is it will be closer to $7k+
