    Eyebrows?

Thanks Guys! I see that there is basically two options...go the $200 dollar plastic route PLUS paint, or go the vinyl stickers.

    Eyebrows?

I swear I saw a thread including pics of someone here that put eyebrows on their 4th gen. I have searched this board, as well as googled it...with no success. Has anyone here installed them....if so could I get a head-up on where to purchase them? Pic would be nice too ;) Cheers,

whats the flip open arm rest for?

I have a pad of larger sized post-it notes under there. (the flip forward part, not the tissue holder). You can only have 10-20 notes in the pad though, otherwise it won't close properly. Its great for taking notes when you're on the phone etc.

Drive shaft noise or U joint noise (LEXUS 4/06 TSB page 18) aka Driveshaft thump/bump

I don't understand why, if people have gone so far as to eliminate all the possible causes in the drive shaft even by replacing the driveshaft with an aftermarket unit (GoodTimes) and they still hear the clink...it is still being blamed on the splined joint. The fact that you can feel it...

Drive shaft noise or U joint noise (LEXUS 4/06 TSB page 18) aka Driveshaft thump/bump

So what EXACTLY causes the clunk? Is it spline backlash? Is it the thrust movement of the splines?(they are so tight that they bind and release axialy?) Is it too much clearence causing the splines to 'rock' within each other? Is it bottoming out? I'm trying to visualize how the splined...

Drive shaft noise or U joint noise (LEXUS 4/06 TSB page 18) aka Driveshaft thump/bump

Mine makes the 'clunk' noise if I brake hard for a red light then release my foot of the brake. I have the feeling it's not driveline related but Caliper related. Calipers have a certain amount of float. When you brake, you load them up one way. When you release the brake, you unload the...

    Nissan quality Vs. Toyota

A co-worker bought a Pathfinder 3 months after I purchased my 4Runner. He told me he 'settled' for the Pathfinder for financial reasons. The fit and finish of the Pathfinder is lower quality than the 4Runner IMO. I have a buddy that has a 93 Pathfinder and the 2003 seems to almost have the...

Very frustrated with trying to buy new

You may want to try sending out a 'request to quote' by fax or email. Send it to 2 or 3 local dealerships and make sure they all know who you sent it to. You might get a more competetive quote that way. The Canadian Toyota dealerships use an online price calculator...

"Engine Did Not Sustain Any Damage"

$3150 is a great deal if you were in the parts business. Think of just the wheels...or the rear tailgate? If someone was to part off that 4Runner, they would make a huge profit. I would guess that a larger dealership would be interested in it. They would buy it and use or sell the parts as...

    2004 questions

I have a Pouch type. It hooks to the 4 notched round knobs at the top...and hooks to the cargo tie-downs on the floor.

Canadian SR5 Sport Package, what it includes

It seems that the Canadian Sport model might differ from the US model. In 2003, the Canadian Sport model added to the base SR5: Telescoping steering wheel X-REAS P265/65R17 M&S Alloy Wheels Large Diameter Front Vented Discs Premium JBL Audio- 10 speaker AM/FM CD Cassette Steering Wheel Audio...

What to choose, SR5 or Sport ?

It may be because mine is a Canadian model. There was some other stuff that was standard on the Canadian Sport package like Homelink, Daytime running lights and rear stereo control. The other thing I noticed different between the U.S. model and the Canadian model is that mine only has SR5 on...

What to choose, SR5 or Sport ?

Well, I have a Sport and I love it. It is very comfortable on the highway but it also handles well doing quick turn city driving. The sport also has some other things like a sun roof and the 10 speaker stereo (not to mention the suspension upgrades) so Id say, for $1300, its worth it.
