Ok thanks so much, very good points there and info.. my trusted mechanic says i can go for a used trans, cost will be about $1800 - installed. And it comes with a 90 day warranty, i guess this could be ok if i get a decent used trans with ok mileage, i'll hopefully get a few years out of it.

So here it is with the new bigger filter..just put the hose down by the headlight. Any input about the vacuum line? Should i run it into a connector before the sensor?

I live on Vancouver-island Canada.. ever since i got my 4runner i spot all the ones in town, in past cars ive noticed the same ones on the roads... But seeing another 4runner is just so much cooler!!! :)

1992 4Runner V6 auto 3.0 L Got this rig a few months ago, it has a K&N filter on it.. no cold air intake, just a drop-in.. im wondering about the hose going into the Filter. Looks like the guy before me punched a hole in the end of the Filter and put the breather tube from the Air cleaner...
