Oh and as for the explorer, my dad before he got his first 4runner went through 4 explorers, one was totaled, the other got stolen from a gas station on his way to work one morning and was totaled, another the engine blew and the last one had one of the most screwed up transmissions i have ever...

I don't know if anyone else does this in the 4th gen but I used to drive with the engine breaking and low gears to act like it was a manual, but after realizing I was probably not helping the engine and trans I stopped but it was so much fun to down shift or just have the rpms around 2-2.5...

I was wondering has anyone like me with an 03 - 05 upgraded their head unit to an 06+, where there is an aux input and maybe better sound quality. I don't have the jbl system and I was looking to upgrade because I honestly don't want to go without a stock head unit because of the cheap look.

I looked around a little bit and didn't have much luck, but how hard is it to swap the 03 lights to the 06, do you have to switch ballasts or do they just plug in and they work? And other than the triangle spot left near the grill, do you have to mod the hood or fender where the lights go?

I normally prefer rap, lately I have been listening to more classic rock, I've got two 12in JL's and won't hesitate to use them when a good song comes my way.

Well I have recently purchased a Daystar for my 4th gen. I live in Raleigh and a ton of friends of mine who 4wheel a lot go to Uwharrie all the time. I have been 4 or 5 times but have only been on harder trails in their Wranglers with 37 inch tires. I was wondering if anyone had any experience...

How do you like the Duratracs as a road and off-road tire? Im looking to switching to that from my Duelers (possibly the worst tire ever)
