Long story short a rodent chewed an injector cable and fried my ECM. I got it replaced and I've lost about 2.5 MPG average since. It's been about a month and I've probably driven 1,000 miles or so. Also got the spark plugs replaced at the same time.
I know correlation =/= causation but the...
I've lived in the Mountains of Northern California for most of my life, with 4wd and AT tires I've never actually needed them. I just carry a cheap set I found in the garage which don't even fit my tires for going through checkpoints, to verify I have chains on board. I've never actually had to...
How much did it cost you for the parts in all? Did you install it yourself and if not how much was it to have done? I've been looking in to doing this, definitely above my pay grade, but want to pull the trigger some day if I can find the right shop.
Thanks man, I really appreciate that. It was horrible and fast, I wouldn't wish pancreatic cancer on anyone! He was a pro motocross racer in the late 70s, a year ago he was still out-riding everyone and making/maintaining single track trails, took less than nine months from diagnosis. 2020 has...
Had to move back to Nor Cal for a while to take care of family properties after my dad passed. Not too stoked on the $450 registration but those black legacy plates sure are sweet.
The inside has a tiny gap at the bottom since it's slightly convex, but the outside sits totally flush against the window as long as you keep an inch or two of the window exposed. I've used them over 20 nights or so of camping and haven't had a single issue.
Very cool, love the design. I have had great luck with the elastic screens that stretch over the top of the door frame, so you can roll the window down as little or as much as you like. I don't even use the velcro, it works perfectly on the 4runner windows. This is definitely a more elegant...
I do, JBA high caster, which is why I got the spacers, my wheels would've rubbed them otherwise. I'm loving the look too, not sure how people can afford to go all-out on their rigs right away, but it's a slow process for me haha.
275 Falken Wildpeaks, 2.5/1.5" Bilstein 6112/5160, Spidertrax spacers. Will be going to 285s eventually but love these for now. I had these tires before the lift and spacers and had minimal rubbing, with the spacers and lift I rubbed the body mounts. Did the chop a few weeks ago.
Well just got back from the second shop, who spent more time working on it than all three trips to the initial shop combined. I was told whoever did the alignment before was a complete idiot and the initial numbers weren't even close to the the printout I was given. Problem fixed, no more pull...
Thanks! The JBA adds 3 degrees of caster. I added 2.5" of lift. I don't know where the cams were before alignment unfortunately. I'm not feeling qualified to mess with this stuff so I'm taking it to another shop, one that is highly recommended.
Here is a photo of the tie rods, the main photo is...
