I have a 2007 SR5...2WD, V6 that came without a trailer hitch. The wife and I are looking into renting (and eventually buying) a small-ish camping trailer, like a pop-up or an R-Pod. As such, I need a towing hitch. The dealer quoted me $1000 to add it. Looks like U-Haul would cost around $350...

Ahhh, gotcha. The plugs I removed were iridium plugs; I'll have to check the gap tonight and see if it changed over 80k miles...

I didn't check them after removing them, but I did gap them before installing them a few years ago. The gap wouldn't change over time, would it?

So I finally got around to dealing with this issue. Turns out that the cable that connects the iPod to the back of the stereo was bad. I bought a new one and installed...it works great! So yeah...thankfully it was an easy $15 fix.

Yep...mine melted too on my '07. I guess the Texas heat finally got to it. I replaced it last year and the new one seems to be made out of a different compound...? It seems much less likely to melt...
