yes i told them the full story. i am the operating partner in the dealership so we are all working together to try and figure out what happened and why it did.

thats what we're going to write it up as, but if the manufacturer calls for an inspection they may find that the truck/motor has been "abused".

i am just telling you what the tech has told me over the phone. i have not personally seen the crack yet, but when i do i will take a picture and post it up.

the tech that pulled the rest of the motor apart for me said that when he let the oil out it had water in it. i really don't know why there is a crack vs. a hole. i will find that out for you when i get back to the shop later today.

ya the water was about half way up the wheel. i too have been in way deeper water and thats why it makes no sense to me. i do have the stock air box. its definitely cracked. cracked on the 6th cylinder in a v shape. i had one of the techs at toyota of cleveland confirm that for me. i did however...
