I would check a few other things too. 1. Check if you transfer case is in 4wd. To do this, try to turn your front driveshaft. If it spins free, you are in 2wd. If it doesn't move at all, you are in 4wd. If it wiggles a bit, you are in either MM or have only the front diff engaged, but it doesnt...

Not sure what transfer case that model has, but if it has the electric multimode one, those like to start causing problems with high mileage. Otherwise it looks to be pretty clean, and that's a nice price from what I can tell, but I do live in CO where they get marked up a bit.

I don't like the design of the multimode system much, and it seems like it tends to break when other people use it. The way that the actuator actually engages in multimode also is kinda strange. I think I'm just going to leave it unplugged and deal with it. Makes driving on those mixed...

Didn't take a pic, but if you follow the wires that come out of the transfer case actuator plug, they meet up with the two sensor wires and form a bunch that goes towards the front of the car. Where the actuator plug wires join the sensor wires, I had one that was on the outside of the group...

I would definitely make sure that you are applying power to the right pins first (no offense but better safe than sorry), and then yeah your actuator is probably dead. I would for sure check junkyards first - you can usually buy a whole t-case with an actuator for somewhere around the 300 range...

FIXED!!! I found the issue - a broken wire. One little wire with all this hardwork. Crimped it, soldered it, repaired it and 4wd is back online. I shifted in and out of 2HI and 4HI, but I am going to avoid multi mode for a bit. YouTube Here is a video I found while researching that contained...

Sounds like your actuator or shift rod or something in the tcase itself is sticking. I would recommend changing your transfer case fluid and see if that helps

Yeah there is definitely a shop somewhat close to me that I like. I was going to call them and ask them what they think, they were the one's last time who swapped the actuator, and the easiest way to do that was with a used transfer case that had a working actuator. If it ends up being a repair...
