Not sure, this one is 2wd so no cv axles. The problem i was having with axle bounce was the rear shocks were too short and would top-out, the 4wd shop has ordered me longer shocks.
Finally got the rear lifted. when i started the Old Man Emu site said for the v8 go with 2885 which we did along with bilstein 5100 adjustable shocks up front and pro comp 9000's with 2895 rear. .Lift looks good and the ride is good, good and slightly stiff. My son's runner is a 2wd v8, so in...
The 2" daystarr spacer was $110, the 1.5" was a lot cheaper but I think the 2" was needed. Doesn't matter now/ I stopped by the local 4x4 shop and ordered the OME 895 springs and a couple of rough country shocks for $279 out the door. I have about $360 in the frontsprings and shocks. That's...
Still stock in the rear. Was hoping it would be about level when doing the front, researching which way to go with the rear now. 1.5 spacer for $110 or 2895 rear OME springs for $167. I thinking for $167 do the OME springs and keep original shocks to keep cost down, should add 2" to the rear...
Getting the front aligned now, the ride is firm but not uncomfortable. Rides a lot like my old fj that had the all terrain/bilstein package. How high on the rear before I have to worry about the brake line?
I started to do the first side with perch upside down, damm near impossible to compress the OME 885 spring with cheap spring compressors that much. Reread the instructions, flipped the perch over and no problem compressing the spring. I'll take pictures in day light for final proof.
I installed the OME885 on Bilstein adj. shocks set on lowest setting today on my sons 03 2wd v8. Should have gotten 2.5"-3", I ended up with over 4". Not complaining, just trying to figure out how i got so much lift on the front end. Have driven it on some rough dirt roads to settle it in, rides...
