    Best tire pressure for LT265/75/R16?

^^^ This is not a good idea... ^^^ These are good ideas. The max pressure listed on the sidewall is irrelevant, unless you are loading each tire to 100% of its weight rating. The door jamb sticker is irrelevant, unless you are running the exact same size and load rating tires that came...

    Long term capable suspension suggestionsm

Keep it as close to stock as possible. For shocks you can do a heavy duty aftermarket that has the same dimensions as stock. I like KYB Monomax's. For springs, just get new OEM springs. You can do "99 tall" springs if you want it a little taller than a stock 98, it's about 1" of lift. That's...

Do I need to replace saggy rear coils if adding an Air Lift 1000 kit or no?

I'm running the 81041 springs, my research found them to be the taller of the two options. I'll also be adding Airlift bags sometime in the future.

What do you torque your valve cover to?

Gotta ask here....... did you? :bounce: The Valve Cover isn't listed, and there is no discussion of torque recommendations. My $.02 for the valve covers: I tightened my old leaky gaskets to 10nm to stop them from leaking (Toyota calls for 6nm) For a new gasket, go off of the factory specs. To...

    Center Idler Pulley

I just did my Fan Bracket, it's easy. Remove the PS and Alt belts. Remove the fan and pulleys behind it. Remove the bolts for the upper timing belt cover but leave it hanging there. (Don't pull the coolant hose) Unbolt the fan bracket and wiggle it out under the t-belt cover. Install in...

    LBJ Bolt size

I wouldn't get generic bolts for this, order the real Toyota or equivalent aftermarket parts manufacturer bolts.

    Where to get an alignment?

Don't go to any chain shop, they have high turnover so their "techs" are usually a lot less skilled. Talk to local performance shops, find out who does alignments for the local race cars and performance crowd. You will pay a bit more but the people working on your rig will be a lot more skilled.

Front End Parts Quote: Are you sitting down?

Well, I can't argue with this. Your wallet isn't going to like it though. :D

Front End Parts Quote: Are you sitting down?

Those quotes are high by at least 50% over what I've seen. LCA bushings can be done in your driveway, or just swap out control arms for ones with good bushings in them. The AC compressor is a decently expensive part, but you also have to do more AC work with it. AC is expensive to work on no...

Need new shocks with no lift

I have a set of Monomax's waiting to be installed, they are well reviewed online and KYB makes good shocks.

Gearing help 4.56 yes or no

Correct. 4.56s are rare in 3rd gen 4runners, but common in many other Toyotas.

    285/75 vs. 265/75 need help

As far as "not needed", it depends on if he has 4.10s or 4.30s... 4.10s with 33 will be very undergeared,

Gearing help 4.56 yes or no

4.10s are fine with 31s but sluggish with 32s. 4.30s are fine with 32s but sluggish with 33s. 4.56s should be perfect for 33s. 4.88s can be used with 35s, 5.29s with 37s and up. Now if you just want a trail rig, go as low geared as you can if you have a single t-case. 4.56s are great because...

OP- what gears do you have now, and are you willing to re-gear?

head gasket leak again. Fix or dump?

25k on a fresh top-end rebuild means that the shop didn't do the job right the first time... I'd be talking to them before making any rash decisions about the truck.
