Hi, I have a 2002 4runner, and the other day the antenna mast broke: it won't go up or down, and the motor just keeps running for a while then stops. The mechanic at the dealer right away said the motor has to be replaced, and it'll cost $480 for the whole thing. I surveyed auto part store...

Yes, I tried again and it didn't work--no matter how I shift the front drive control, it seemed it wouldn't shift away from the damn N. I'm about to try to disconnect the battery.

I tried to switch away from N, but for some reason it didn't comply. In fact, I can only switch between either L4 and N or H and N, I can't tell. I'll try to disconnect the battery.
