Best lift option for trail riding/fire trails and lots of on-road DD

Would agree with Angelo that if you aren't doing much heavy off roading the stock truck with some better tires will probably do great. I had that setup for a long time but as I started to add weight noticed that I was rubbing on some places I wasn't before so I upgraded my suspension. I went...

    WaterPORT vs. RinseKit vs RoadShower

I also don't have either but I do carry a 12v shower head pump for when I need to rinse anything off. This is the one I have Amazon.com : Ivation Portable Outdoor Shower, Battery Powered - Compact Handheld Rechargeable Camping Showerhead - Pumps Water from Bucket Into Steady, Gentle Shower...

What did you do to/in your 5th Gen today?!

Finally got mine removed, wife really wanted it but it started growing into our power lines. Power company came out for another tree and just happened to mention that we should take it out at the same time. THANK YOU Mr. Tree cutter. No longer have to deal with it.

    Ladder people opinion

Have a gobi rack and ladder. I personally use my sliders way more than my ladder but there is absolutely a time and a place for it for me and my wife. NOW the real benefit of the ladder. My 7 year old's favorite part of the truck is the gobi rack and hanging out up there. It's the ONLY way he...

    Help a noobie out

If you want a cheap affordable lift that will last a long time I would suggest either Dobinsons or Old Man Emu. Both have been tested for a long time in Australia and work well if you are on a budget. I personally have a Dobinson's lift and have been extremely happy with it and most who have...

For those of you that have dogs!

This is pretty spot on. i have an acre of land and free range my chickens in our yard. Our BC keeps busy all day protecting the herd and herding our kids when they are playing outside. If you have room and time to exercise them they can be great, if you aren't up for that I definitely wouldn't...

    "High Mileage" 5th Gen

This is the highest mileage I have seen so far on a 5th Gen. I have 75K so far in 2 years so this makes me happy. I have always owned toyotas with my dads 22re truck going over 400 before he gave it away and I saw it on the roads for years after that. There is a reason why it's been voted...

For those of you that have dogs!

They are amazing dogs that love to work and please. If you have time to work with them, even just teaching them new tricks or playing ball they are great. Mine has been fantastic with all kids, can be obsessive over balls or toys to the point where they just keep dropping it at your feet but...

Solo road trip, East Coast to West Coast. Looking for ideas/cool things to do

GooseNecks State Park If you are in Utah and going to AZ or AZ to Utah I would highly recommend Goosenecks state park. A really cool place to watch a sunset or sunrise and neat to see the river snake its way through a flat valley. Goosenecks State Park | Utah State Parks

Any fishermen willing to teach me how to shore fish the ocean?

Man there really isn't anything more relaxing than Surf Fishing. Now is a good time as well, should start to see some bigger perch in the surf. I haven't been able to get out as much as I used to but not sure if you have checked out the site below yet. Great forum and a good group of guys...

    Anyone try JBA A-Arms?

Just installed mine over the weekend and love them. Got new shoes and an alignment and the caster was 3.5 on both. The washer wasn't too bad used a thin layer of grease on the bushing faces like the instructions asked for and just all just pushed it in from the back as it got started and went...

Who LOOOOOOVEEEEEEEES the fake hood scoops?

In the I like it category as well. I think it looks good and haven't had any issues with glare. I'm 6' tall so not sure if it's a height thing but my wife who is 5'9" hasn't complained about it either.

What did you do to/in your 5th Gen today?!

I have a set of these and so far they have worked for everything I have needed them for. Are they as good as Maxtrax, probably not, but with how little I have needed them so far, I haven't been able to justify the extra cost to get Maxtrax instead of these.

    Dobinsons Springs 5160/6112 Question

Trust Mike, He really knows his stuff well. I got exactly the lift he said I would when I let him know what I was going to have in and on my truck.

What did you do to/in your 5th Gen today?!

The wife and I are planning a trip for our 5 year anniversary so finally got around to making our sleeping platform. I built the drawers back when I first bought the 4Runner just haven't had time to build the sleeping portion until last night. Had a left over 1/2 sheet of 3/4" ply so thought now...
