    A/C Servo?

Has anyone heard of the A/C servo? I had my car in for service to check out a clicking sound coming from the driver side dash. The sound is only prevalent when the A/C / fan is running. Dealer said it the a/c servo needs to be replaced I've never heard of this, so I really don't know where...

    Front Axel

Has anyone had problems with the front axel boots leaking on their 4th gen? I'm not surprised given the miles I have (121,000 on a 2004); however I was shocked at the price for the parts. My mechanic (not dealer) said it was more reliable to replace the entire axel and boots rather than just...

Does Anyone Drive As Much Miles As I Have On My 04'???

I just scrolled past 110,000 last week on my 04. I have been averaging 18-19 mpg, although that is mostly highway.

    Annual mileage

Purchased in December 2003 (2004 4Runner) and crossed 91,000 miles on my way home tonight. Goes in next week for a new timing belt. Rock solid SUV.

    Navigation Question

Could someone explain what the main difference is between the factory Navigation system for a 4Runner and the Solaris / Camry units? I've read quite a few threads and it seems like the Solaris / Camry units are essentially one piece, whereas the 4Runner units requires the Nav DVD to be places...

First Time Towing with a 4Runner

It really wasn't that bad. You certainly know you are pulling something though. My brother has a 93 - F350 and his brakes are smaller than the 4Runner and he only has 40 lbs feet of torque more than the 4Runner. Also the trailer didn't have electric brakes.

V8. The trailer and ball-hitch were rated up to 6,000 lbs.

First Time Towing with a 4Runner

I have the weight distributing hitch with the ball mount in the rise position. I had to do a little research to make sure it was correct and it was. I did down-shift and use the engine for some braking, but the stock brake seemed more than adequate.

First Time Towing with a 4Runner

Just shy of 6,000 lbs. I was extremely surprised at how easy the 4Runner handled it. You certainly felt the weight in the back, but it pulled off the line without any problems. I even had to drive on the highway and it was very stable at 45 -55 MPH.

    Hauling with a 4Runner

I looked at that, but thought it might pull it out of the rear hatch. I guess the best idea is to use the roof rack and tie it to the trailer hitch.

    Hauling with a 4Runner

Hauling with a 4Runner The other day, my wife and I were picking up a swing set for our two boys. The swing set came in four boxes. Two of the boxes stuck out the back of the 4Runner by about two

Question For Dad 4runner Owner Re: Infant Car Seat?

Car seat installation in the 2003 / 2004 4Runner has to be the easiest I have ever done. We have a 2004 with a toddler seat and an infant seat. Both were extremely easy. For the infant seat, we have the Graco Snugride. We primarily picked this because it has one of the best safety ratings...
