I just scrolled past 110,000 last week on my 04. I have been averaging 18-19 mpg, although that is mostly highway.

Could someone explain what the main difference is between the factory Navigation system for a 4Runner and the Solaris / Camry units? I've read quite a few threads and it seems like the Solaris / Camry units are essentially one piece, whereas the 4Runner units requires the Nav DVD to be places...

It really wasn't that bad. You certainly know you are pulling something though. My brother has a 93 - F350 and his brakes are smaller than the 4Runner and he only has 40 lbs feet of torque more than the 4Runner. Also the trailer didn't have electric brakes.

V8. The trailer and ball-hitch were rated up to 6,000 lbs.

I have the weight distributing hitch with the ball mount in the rise position. I had to do a little research to make sure it was correct and it was. I did down-shift and use the engine for some braking, but the stock brake seemed more than adequate.

Just shy of 6,000 lbs. I was extremely surprised at how easy the 4Runner handled it. You certainly felt the weight in the back, but it pulled off the line without any problems. I even had to drive on the highway and it was very stable at 45 -55 MPH.

First opportunity to tow with a 4Runner.

I looked at that, but thought it might pull it out of the rear hatch. I guess the best idea is to use the roof rack and tie it to the trailer hitch.
