Installed all new H.I.D. lights today. High beams, low beams and fog lights. I like the bluish Hugh of the 8k's so I decided to go with them. I've got my eye on the CBI ditch lights but am torn as to whether I should get them with flood or spot lights. Does anyone know if the Rigid lights...

Just a word of caution. I put my spidertrax on a few days ago and now I am rubbing like crazy. I have about 3 inches of lift up front, but I guess that's not enough for 285/70's. The good news is this gives me an excuse to do a 1.5" body lift.

I get about 16 mpg's, but I am pretty light on the throttle. Remember that with larger tires you are actually going faster than your speedo reads. Also, your odometer is showing less miles than you are actually traveling due to the larger rotation of your new tires.

Good point. No. No I did not. I realize that I am actually driving more miles than my odometer reads... but the question is, how much? There's no way I could actually be driving 400 miles and my odometer shows 320, is there?

I have got 285/70's on my rig, but I put a spacer lift on at the same time. Do this...Tire Kingdom is running a buy 3, get 1 free deal on Terra grapplers. The tires are like $230 a piece. Use the money you saved to buy a Daystar 2.5" spacer lift, they are only $159 through 4wheel parts...

+1 on the gas mileage. I went from averaging 20mpg to just 16mpg. To put that into perspective I used to get 400-420 miles to a full tank. Now I get a solid 320 miles. Who would of thought going up two tire sizes would have such an impact. I wonder that the guys running 35's get.

With the Daystar lift you will be fine. Just make sure you also purchase the 1.5" lift for the rear too. It will give your rig a much more aggressive stance. The spacers are not needed, but you will have to remove the front mud flaps. Spidertraxx are a nice addition though. Be sure to throw...

I read through Travis' thread. He only has a half inch more lift than I do now with the spacers. To fit 35's I will need a lot more space.
