E-Locker not engaging after axle bearing replacement

Thanks. I believe you're right that it's an internal issue. Drives fine and everything else works perfect with the 4wd system; awd, 4 hi, 4 low, etc. Only one pin at the locker shows power with a test light when the button is pushed it flashes the test light and when the button is not pressed...

E-Locker not engaging after axle bearing replacement

Jacked up the truck, 4low in neutral, press lock and nothing happens except the blinking light; can't hear or feel the motor trying. On to the threads with electrical trouble shooting assuming the abs wheel sensor wouldn't have anything to do with it as that's that only electrical touched...

E-Locker not engaging after axle bearing replacement

Just read your post. Sucks about the crap service from the dealer. Once it cools down a bit I'll jack up my 4runner and make sure the diff has fluid as well as spin the individual tires while trying to engage the locker. Just seems to much of a coincidence.

E-Locker not engaging after axle bearing replacement

As the title says, e-locker worked fine before replacing the bearing and seals on the passenger side axle. I've read of clocking the e-locker motor if it has been removed, do I need to do the same if the axle didn't go in the same exact splines as it came out of?

    Bad misfire on cold starts

Sorry, sarcasm doesn't translate well to text. If you look at my post, you can see it was a reaction to the dude discounting my question / suggestion of injector o-rings and then adding a jab as to smart people. I'll edit.

Now that's a smart post! Doesn't mean you have to discount other suggestions. :peace:

    SRQ Fabrications Ultra4 4600 3rd Gen Build

I did a coin flip between these and the Hankooks. I've ran BFG, Goodyear, General, and Toyo so figured I'd try something new.

    Bad misfire on cold starts

Do you ever get a raw gas smell in the morning when cold? I had a similar issue and it ended up being a couple leaky injector o-rings. When cold they leaked, but after warming up either heat or the leaky gas caused them to swell up and seal and it would run fine for a while. Let it get cold...

    SRQ Fabrications Ultra4 4600 3rd Gen Build

Following along, the build so far looks great. Might try and spectate at the Hammers this year. Was searching for Falken MTs reviews and found this thread; glad I did. Are you guys running the race Falkens or DOT?

    Blend door actuator stuck

Mine has the same symptoms. Took the servo near the glovebox off and cleaned it up, plugged in, and it seems to work fine. However, hooked everything back up and I still get the clicking. Seems like that cable is jammed somewhere other than at that servo. When it stops raining, I'll pull the...

Shop to do press work for rear axle rehab

Need to replace the rear axle seals. Will do bearings while in there. Purchased all the parts then found out the labor is mostly press work. I don't have the tools to properly R&R the parts. Any recommendations in the area between Lake Elsinore and Temecula, or North County San Diego? Thanks!

Need to solve this windshield problem once and for all!

Very glad I found this thread, so figure a bump won't hurt. My windshield looks just like the first post! I can't see a thing at night when it rains due to the glare. During the day it's clear as glass...:biggrin2: Going to follow the video above and hope that it fixes the issue. It's really bad.

    99 3.4 LTD stuck in 4wd

Let me know if you got it fixed. I have the exact same issue and have checked everything you have checked as well. It just won't come out of 4wd unless I crawl under and jump it with the battery charger. It's driving me bonkers! :redbrick::redbrick::redbrick:

    Engine Temperatures

Had my timing belt, pulleys, thermostat, and hoses replaced and I now run 190-195 consistently. My tranny temp is down too.
