New 5th Gen Trails in UT, need some advice

You might want to check out Rocky Road in Heber. I have talked with them in the past about some custom fab work, but I don't know if they still do it. I see many 5th gens driving around SLC, but no idea how many actually follow the forum, much less do any modding.

    Demello 5th gen Sliders

These are the Demello Sliders I ordered around the first of the year. Pics are pre-OME lift. Really like the design, and very well made. The mesh on the kickout is a perfect rear step. Since each was a build to order, I did have them pull the sliders in by 1" so they tucked a little more under...

    And the story begins…

Glad to hear LHM worked out for you. Now you just need to bring it back to explore southern Utah. Moab awaits!

    ARB 4Runner Skid plates

The three large skids cover from under the radiator to just past the exhaust crossover. The smallest of the 4 takes the place of the thin skid attached directly to the xfer case. It covers the same area, and mounts using the same 4 bolts. Don't know if it is permitted to mention a...

    ARB Skid Plates

"How heavy is heavy? " >>> Didn't weigh them, but my guess from carrying the box is ~70-80 lbs "So these are available now? " >>> Yes, I just talked to my local ARB dealer, and he used the part number to order from ARB USA. Although I only have the part number for non-KDSS skids.

    ARB Skid Plates

Replaced the SR5 tank skid w/ TE skid.... Better, but not ideal.

    ARB Skid Plates

Finally found a free weekend to install the ARB Skids. Really happy with the final product, very well done. Paid $425 for the kit. Toyota stock skid thickness = 1.3 mm ARB skid thickness = 3.7 mm (4.1 mm for xfer case skid) 4 skids and 1 bracket both stock skid plates label on shipping box

Best place to buy OEM Toyota Parts?

I've ordered many parts from https://www.1sttoyotaparts.com/ (Cruiser parts….). It is actually Titus-Will Toyota in Seattle. Prices were always on par with the other online places, and I've talked with their parts dept directly on a few occasions. I highly recommend them.

    Demello Bolt-On sliders

:reddance: WoooHooo, my Stage 3's just arrived today! The Bad: I probably won't be able to install them for a few weeks. Odds are I'll wait for the ARB skids (due in next week), and do the whole OME lift / skids / slider super weekend install.

    Demello Bolt-On sliders

If someone who had the idea for the bump-out also patented it, good for them. If a company that owns the patent is making these for consumers, and is trying to defend their Intellectual Property to protect their business, that is the purpose of a patent. I am always disappointed to hear when a...

A Handful of 2012 TE Issues / Questions

Here's a link to the brake controller install I did a few months back: Trailer Brake Controller Installation Mounted it in the stack. It has worked out well. The connector is down there, it might be tucked behind one of the other harness bundles.
