    93 4Runner Rear Defog

Yes, you can pull the plastic up, I'm guessing the leads came off the glass. Pull the plastic and get some spray adhesive to attach it back when you are done.

Can't get the fuel filter nuts off

Mine stripped out as well. I ended up disconnecting the line just above the passenger side tire. That was easy to reach, just had to disconnect a few clamps holding the fuel line on. Once I got it off, I was able to use some vice clamps to pull it off and put the new one back on. I guess this...

    Sound Coming from Dash

I used to have an '86 truck that did the same thing, I never did find out what it was, but it never harmed anything, it finally threw a rod at over 300k.

    1992 4runner Brake trouble

I just ended up getting it at Trail Gear. It was a good price and I knew it would work.

any tips on replacing #5 plug?

I just used a swivel and some extensions, but for ones that were tough, I tightened just a touch first, then loosened. That seemed to really help.

    1992 4runner Brake trouble

Here is a great set of videos that I found on one of the 4runner forums. Goes all the way to replacing the bearings, I found it really helpful. Turkov's Blog: DIY Video: 1994 Toyota 4runner Front Brake Job incl. New Rotors & Wheel Bearings

    pitman arm and idler arm

I just did my idler arm and I had to use a pickle fork to get it to budge loose. I didn't take pics, but basically for the idler arm, you remove the cotter pin and that bolt should be fairly loose. Take it off, use the pickle fork to separate it, then it's either a 12mm or a 14mm socket to...

    cv boots ripped

I'm getting ready to do this and have heard of punching out the bolts before, but can't really get the concept. Does anybody have a picture of where you would do this? Can they install, if you punch out the bolts? Sorry, I'm a newbie. I've done brakes, and think I can replace the CV, just want...

I had a car do this and it ended up being the battery cables. That was an explorer though, and they had bad cables.

    A/C and starting issues

I don't believe there is anything else coming out of the fuse box as there aren't any other accessories, but I will give it a look. I'll take a look at the starter as well. We don't have a lot of mud, we do get snow, but they don't use salt on the roads here. I'll see if I can clean it up a...

    A/C and starting issues

I have 2 issues, so I thought I would put them in one post. #1: My a/c doesn't work, the light doesn't come on the switch. Tonight, I found one a/c fuse behind the passenger side kick panel. It was blown, so I tried another fuse and tested the a/c. The a/c light came on for half a second and I...

I went out to Crossroads today and they wanted $175 for the tailgate with no glass. Sounded really high to me, am I off base? I've seen a couple on craigslist for under $100. Can my spare tire be converted to under the truck? Or is it worth the hassle.
