    PepperBuild - My 99 Highlander Mini-Build

Snapped some quick pics of the lights in action. From left to right, high beams, high beams + front LEDs, high beams + front LEDs + roof LEDs. All images at 1s exp, f/4, ISO 400. I love all the extra light for the trails, although I would love some projectors for the road.

    PepperBuild - My 99 Highlander Mini-Build

Thanks Evan! Your rig has come a long way too - it looks great - love the LC60 emblem! I'll see about getting some night shots with the LEDs.

    PepperBuild - My 99 Highlander Mini-Build

After a lot of research on this site, I bought my 99 4Runner about a year and a half ago. It had 145k miles, 4x4, 5-spd, factory locker, and was in immaculate shape. I was already addicted to this forum, so I read everything I could and started putting together my own build. Nothing crazy, but...

How much should I pay for this '99?

I actually bought my 4Runner from that place. They seem to specialize in 3rd gen 4Runners, I bet they had 6-7 on the lot when I was there. They definitely over-price, but they will come down a lot. From $14k (sticker) to $10k (out the door) in my case. I know it wasn't a great deal, but mint...

    Party Time!!

You're going to love it! Let your GSP know that he's going to have to jump a few more inches to go for a ride (if he's anything like mine, it will be no problem at all).

New to forum - going to buy a lift kit

Welcome!! I am sure you would be happy with either the Toytec or Sonoran kit, they are both big improvements, especially since you already have the locker. I have Toytec CO's in front, 890's in the back, and it has been a great setup. I sometimes wish I had gone with 891's in the rear, since...

    Off Topic- Bicycles and 4Runners

This is from my trip to Moab last week. Visible is my buddy's carbon Enduro, my Nomad is on the other side. This is a Thule rack that snaps into the roof rails and works very well even with four trays. I have to use a step-stool that slips over the rear wheels to get the bikes up there. As...

Front corner bulbs keep going out

Thanks for the help guys. I'll probably order up some PIAA's in the hope that they are more durable, since I could buy like 20 regular bulbs for that price!

Front corner bulbs keep going out

Thanks, that's Ranger, my German Shorthaired Pointer. He likes wheeling, and terrorizing birds. I guess I'll swap them out again, and someday getting around to tracking this down. Or not...

Front corner bulbs keep going out

The Tundra brake upgrade would certainly be more interesting. I've installed some new audio equipment recently, but three of the four bulbs were lost prior to this update. Maybe I got a batch of really sucky bulbs at O'Reilly. Please, someone tell me that I should have gone OEM :)

Front corner bulbs keep going out

Apologies for the most boring thread ever, but I'm wondering if anyone has dealt with this before. The bulbs in each of my front corners keep going out on me, four bulbs lost in the last four months (two on each side). I wheel it a bit, but it doesn't seem to be happening while wheeling...

    Painting stock wheels. Plastidip??

I don't know much about the look and durability of plasti-dip, but I painted my wheels and they came out great, and have held up extremely well through 4 months and 8-10 off-road adventures. I sanded (futile) then used aircraft aluminum paint remover (TAL-something). Primed with self-etching...
