They are wheel spacers meaning they mount between the wheel and the brake rotor. This pushes the mounting surface of the wheel out giving the vehicle a wider stance.

I'm currently completely stock and have yet to install a 1" thick (~2" lift topout) spacer for the front. I have 1.5" wheel spacers that I was going to use in addition to 265/70/17s. Have people had issues with rubbing AFTER the installation of the wheel spacers? Thanks.
