The mechanic just called and said the differential needs replacement. He quoted $1300 for this, and $620 for shocks all around. Does this sound accurate? It's a 2000 4x4 SR5 Auto with almost 170k on the clock.

I'm getting considerable "howl" at speed in my truck. It still runs/drives like a champ, so I'm figuring it must be the wheel bearings. Any experience with this? The noise has gotten worse after driving 600mi to Atlanta for the VT/Bama game last weekend. It's a 2000 SR5 with 160k on the clock.
