Thanks JohnMc, excellent points about the vacuum / brake booster; I had not even considered that yet. Also, good to know about the ECU limiting revs. I'll be ordering my new TB today. I did not want to turn motor off until I was on the shoulder. Not sure about you guys, but my steering wheel...

Thanks...I'm going to try adding a switch. If it works great...if it doesn't work, at least I'll have a switch for the antenna even if I have to replace the head unit.

Yes, I'm hoping a switch will work here to interrupt the circuit and therefore no load. If not, at least I'll have the switch installed if/when I have to replace the head unit. Worth a try...especially because I already have a switch to fit the pop-outs left of the steering wheel. Thanks...

Thanks guys...I did use an adapter to hook up both antennas. I'm unfamiliar with the wiring...does the blue wire run power from the stereo to the antenna? My concern is that the stereo is malfunctioning trying to send power to the antenna and the only way to stop the battery draw is to interrupt...
