The place I bought the bars from is out of business and the plastic step pads are rotted out from the sun (I assume, I'm in San Diego). Steelcraft only will replace the pads through a warranty through one of their dealers.

Not EVERY time - I had the lights stay on and drain the battery even though I double-beeped the remote. I like AAA! They had someone there in 20 minutes.

It took a couple of days for mine to start up. Also, I let it expire without signing up and then was offered a rate of $77+$12 fees for the next year. I have to call to cancel or they will keep charging my card for future years.
