My 99 has the same problem only no hum. I feel a vibration through the steering column. It varies depending on surface of the road, but I always feel it. My mechanic can't seem to find it. Had an alignment, new tie-rods, new shocks, tires are balanced. It's driving me crazy. I love my 4Runner...

Replace Power antenna with short non-movable one Anybody know if it is easy to replace a broke power antenna with a non-movable one?

I didn't think about that. I bought some Walmart tires. I wonder if that is the problem. The thing is, it depends on the payment. Sometimes it rides okay and other time it shimmies. I am going to try new struts first, but thanks for the info on the tires.

I ride, but haven't in about 12 months. Planning on getting back into this Fall. Have '03 GT Avalanche 2.0 and a 99 Limited. I know I am rolling old school, but I am really pleased with both. I will replace the bike before I replace 4Runner.

I am having the same issue. the dealer says it will be over $600 for then to do it. I was thinking of taking it to an automotive upholstery shop.

How much? This just happened to me today. The clip is broken, but I have the spring. I removed the clip and hoping my Dealer has the plastic piece. It is easy to get off and on, but I would hate to have to buy an entire new filler lif for .10¢ piece of plastic. What did the dealer charge you?

I was told by a Toyota mechanic that the solenoid acts up when it gets hot. My 99 does it when it sits in the sun too long, but is fine now that the weather is cooler.
