i bought a bolt extractor kit from lowes... between the bolt not steering off flat and all of the suspension and steering linkage in the way, I couldn't get a flat seat with a standard drill and bit. rather than F it up more I finished the brake job and just dropped it at the mechanics to see...

it's exposed but barely a nub...not enough to grip with visegrips.

Set out to replace my brakes today including calipers and ss lines. Started on the front right, got the rubber line converted to ss. btw - the rubber plugs that come with the stop tech lines dont seem to really stop the dripping, just slow it. Nor are they caps that go on the hard line. Next...

Chuckle away. Sure It may never see a track but living in the DC area and taking on/off ramps for the Beltway, 66, 81, 50, 95, etc at speed so I can better merge with the idiots on the highway, the XREAS is noticeably better at maintaining the body control and feels significantly more stable...

I went with the DD Max. They are amazing!! No idea about deals. Your best bet is to wait on a DD sale, maybe Father's Day? If you're open to used, I'd check out FB marketplace.

yeah that was tough call on the free elites vs the half off max's. Ultimately I just decide to get the best out there and i'd never have to question whether I made the right call or curse myself if the elites became ineffective during heavy snowfall. i think the elites are still great choice...
