I screwed up and ordered new tires w/ raised white letters. As they are asymmetrical, there is no way to put black sidewalls out. Does anyone know any products or tricks to "black" out the white lettering ....aside from mud. TIA, Dave

x6 Stoners & microfiber towel. I currently have the aerosol can of Stoners, but it now also comes in a conventional spray bottle. I thought I would give that a try next...someone told me they like it better than the aerosol.

It seems to take quite a while for my 4R to engage into 4H -after turning the knob...usually at least 5 seconds, but sometimes up to 10 or more. Just curious if this is normal?

Follow up....Yup, I found all 6 fittings (one of front ones requires flexible hose to access).

Anyone know the total # of zerk fittings I should expect to find, when I slide under my '07 V6 4WD today (I would prefer to go under there just once)? A search showed that the V6 has less than the V8, but I was unable to find the exact #. Thanks, in advance.

I just did first oil change. There was no washer on the drain plug. However, I think it may have been (painted) stuck on the bottom of the drain pan. After the drain plug is removed, is the bottom of the pan supposed to be flush/smooth ?? Mine has a (raised) washer attached around the drain...

Likewise, I'm soon to do first oil change somewhere between 1500 and 2000 miles. Then again, at 5k, I will change to Mobil 1 synthetic, and change every 5k miles subsequent to that. I like this procedure because it is easy to recognize that oil needs changing every time mileage hits a multiple...
