I did ask. They said some times there is a bad batch. No questions asked and they sent a new filter right away. Sketchy maybe, but no problems with the replacement so far.

I spoke with customer service at K&N today. I explained the problem I was having and the lady immediately took my address and told me she was sending me a new filter! Great customer service, now I only hope this new filter won't have the same problem. If anyone else is having a similar...

Ive also left and email with K&N to see what they have to say. Will update when I hear back. Im hoping they may just send me a new filter since there is a "million mile warranty" on the filter.

thanks!.....no I didnt buy it, I just took the original off, wire brushed it down and spraypainted it with a yellow rustoleum. I had Some nice yellow shocks on there, so I bought the paint to match those. Got a lot of attention for it. Good luck

I used both types of oil, I didnt have a major preference for either. Just dont over do it. Cleaning it is the same as for flat filters: brush off debris, soak with cleaner, water from clean side to dirty side, dry, oil.

They aren't as bright as the KC's I had on my old 4runner, but thats expected since those things were rediculous. The beam pattern is pretty nice, not as wide as the toyota headlights, but put out about as much light. I'll take some pics tonight and post them for you.

Actually it was a birthday present. My dad had an offer for 20% off one item on performanceproducts, but went into 4wheel parts here in Atlanta and they matched the price. Not sure how much it was, but I think it was less than 160

The lights did come with some white plastic covers with Hella printed on them. I'll be needing them soon since I seem to have tons of dead bugs all over the front of my car. Ive been thinking about some kind of low profile mesh inserts, I may look into those, thanks.

Got the lights on and I like them. It only took a little filing of the light brackets on the bar. I just got a round file and extended the hole toward the tip of the bracket about a half inch or so until the back of the light cleared the bumper. Next, I primed the bracket and then painted it...
