Well, no replies, but I did it anyway.
Got the Eclipse Sirius tuner and iPod connector (IP-106), had it installed at a reputable local shop.
On the preview channel, the unit kept flashing updating on the screen; once Sirius was activated, we continue to see a black window "Aquiring" popping up...
