I always start with a new radiator cap and adding a package of AlumAseal. If it is a slow exterior leak, you will eventually be able to find the red crusty buildup.

I use maxlife in gen 7 accord honda boxes with zero issues. the v6 models really wear the clutch plates and dirty up the fluid fast, so i'm not unsing genuine fluid. It is an aisin box too. So use or don't use Valvoline, its your money.
