    FS: 4 Goodyear MT/R 285/75 16 + LC80 Wheels $750 OBO (Denver, CO) no ship

I have two sets of tires/wheels, and these didn't see much use. I bought the tires (and wheels) with the intent to build up my 3rd gen 4runner. Had a child last year and my free time has all but disappeared. I'm selling the wheels and tires together. I won't separate them because I have very...

    Shift Bushing

The shifter socket is a tight squeeze, no question. My experience was similar, however I used the HD replacement shifter socket from Marlin Crawler. It was extremely tight. I placed the shifter socket on the bottom of the shifter and pressed it against the ground using my body weight to get...

Harmonic Balancer OE or Aftermarket ?

you don't need to replace the harmonic balancer when changing your timing belt. If for some reason you damaged yours and need to replace it, I would go to a junkyard and snag one before buying new OEM or aftermarket. A new OEM HB is pricey.

FS: 3rd gen shifter socket + shifter seat + T-case seat $30 local pickup Denver CO

I bought these from Marlin Crawler and they are brand new, never been used. I bought 2 of each part and didn't realize it until they showed up on my doorstep. I'm lazy and don't feel like returning them. Use the money you save on shipping ($12) for beer! Local pickup only. I don't have...

    5vzfe/r150f clutch disk orientation?

I'm sure I installed everything correctly, so I hope I don't have that same issue. Unfortinately the rain and hail last night forced me to wrap up early, so I didn't finish putting everything back together so I could try it out. lHave you contacted Marlin crawler for feedback at all?

What do you guys do about the rear vent ?

It's been explained in the thread already, but for those who are curious, this article goes into a little more detail about the purpose for these vents https://jalopnik.com/heres-what-those-rubber-flaps-are-hidden-behind-your-re-1828016409

grrrr... thieving bas****s! insurance totaled my 4r

I don't know how hail damage affects your ability to insure the vehicle, because my situation was different, given that the vehicle did not start or run in it's current state when I filed the claim. Honestly, I'm baffled that they allowed me to keep full coverage on it while also paying me such...

grrrr... thieving bas****s! insurance totaled my 4r

I was browsing through my old threads - sorry for reviving the dead, but I never posted an update (sorry!). For anyone that is still interested...... I got paid out $4700 by Progressive and somehow managed to retain FULL coverage on the vehicle. Paid $200 for parts from local parts yard and...

    5vzfe/r150f clutch disk orientation?

It's been years since I posted here! I have a 98 SR5 with 180k and the clutch has been slipping when I accelerate from a stop. I've done the timing belt and other maintenance items on the 4runner, so I feel pretty comfortable with this job but it's my first time doing a clutch and I want to...

Need help with sway bar bushings

so, the front ones I can speak.... (looking at the vehicle sideways) IIRC, one bolt on each half of the bracket is actually welded, so theres no way in hell you'd be able to grab the bolt and move it....... but it doesn't mean you can't move the nut. if you figured that out and still no...
