So a little background. 4wd actuator got stuck in 4wlo. Drained a bunch of water out of it and got it back into 2whi. The gears fell out of the actuator on a dumb#$$ move by me. 4runner has 280k miles so I figured I'd just swap the t-case with a used one. I have a full transmission available...
Ok thanks. I ended up getting it back together but didn't try timing it. It has 278K on the transfer case so I'm going to replace it with a swap. Can get one for about $800. I got the truck from my dad and when I asked if he had problems with the 4wd before me he said yes..... Oh well I...
xtremewlr any update? I opened mine up and it was completely full of water. The motor was free but the gears fell out unmarked. A couple posts above i believe sound helpful and ill give it a try to time them.
My question is how did you remove the actuator? when I unbolted it, it would slide...
My 07 4runner has 275K and desperately needs new suspension. While I'm at the suspension I figured I might as well do the ball joints, control arm bushings and rear CA bushings as well. (parts are in, waiting to finish buying everything) I figured while I'm at THAT I might as well lift it lol...
