no recirc on. It defaults to off but I did check that as soon as I started the 4Runner to warm it up, just in case.
Following up on what you said, I did run the defrost on a short drive the last time I drove it. It's possible that collected water in and around the coil, which froze overnight...
Has anyone ever experience anything like this? I am 64 and nothing like this has ever happened in any vehicle I have ever driven. I have a lifetime of experience driving in all sorts of terrible winter conditions.
I was driving the 4Runner to work in the snow this morning. 5 minutes after...
2004 4Runner Sport Edition V8.
Dark charcoal cloth, manual control front seat.
Would like to source one in better condition. Any ideas where to look?
I haven't had any luck with a Google search.
Thanks!
One of the "i" letters fell off on both driver and passenger door badges. Miraculously I found one of them on the ground.
Having trouble locating a new badge kit so I can replace the other missing i.
Anyone know of a reputable source?
I was only able to find one new emblem for $70 and one...
That's interesting Sarki. The seller, in 2016, told me it was a Limited Sport Edition or Sport Limited. I remember reading something about it back then and thought there was something special about the trim in 2001 and 2002 only. However; I cannot find that info now and the side badges do say...
It really is nice. I did the detail on it and took all the photos. Inside, out and underneath. I have seen every square inch of it. It is solid. The owner has kept it maintained at a shop specializing in Toyota/Lexus and any little thing that comes up gets taken care of right away.
Thanks Roman...never heard that before.
I wouldn't know. I haven't owned a 3rd gen but I own a Tacoma with a rear diff lock and a 4th gen 4Runner V8 with a center diff lock. Also owned a 1993 Land Cruiser with the center diff lock. I owned a 1992 4Runner SR5. Nothing in that in terms of locks...
This is not my rig. I found the 4Runner for the current owner in 2016. Before 2016 this 4Runner was living in Florida. When I found it the mileage was 101,000. This 4Runner is owned by a friend. He had every little thing it could have needed taken care of whenever it needed it. Right down to...
Is there any company that still makes a high quality wind deflector for the sunroof of the 3rd gen 4 runners?
When I did a thread search they were all old.
Thanks for posting that photo Sparky. I ordered a new one for $13. Toyota dealer said he was only showing 3 in the entire country. When (if) it arrives I will have everything I need to be able to read the info center and HVAC controls.
Has anyone replaced just the LED window part 81942A? Mine is badly scratched up from the previous owner. I wondered how ez it is to separate from the module.
