Doesn't appear that a relay exists for an '02 4R. Anyone know if a "relay", or equivalent, is built in to the wiper motor?

Yep, you're not alone. I still have my slightly-less-than-stock '10 GTI; it's a bit of a change for sure. I just don't think things should be stock height--lift it or lower it :)
