All wheels spin while in park while on lift

Normal if you have an open diff in the rear (front is open diff and disengaged from trans at the transfercase). If you have a limited slip rear and it spins freely it may be worn. Regardless, when all 4 wheels are on the ground, it shouldn't roll, if it does, you have an actual issue.

    EVAP/Tank Vent Nightmare

Ugh, still no luck The ONLY thing I see here that's a little suspicious is the "Air Drain Hose" (the large hose coming off of the can. Mine has a Y fitting in it with a large hose going up to the filler neck and a small vacuum hose branching off and going back to one of the valves on the can...

    400,000 Mile Club

My dad's 97 Limited had around 420k on the clock when it got it's third 5VZ (didn't actually need it tho, had a new Toyota longblock put in around the 250K mark that was technically still OK). Original trans (never flushed to my knowledge ), original everything else. Only major repair we did...

Thanks for the replies, guys. I have no problem going with a weld together kit, but it has to be a good chunk cheaper than a painted complete since I'll be paying out the anus for powdercoating (too much salt over here, HAS to have a good finish). If I was in the market for a desert style...

AWESOME! I'm gonna sit down this weekend and go over everything in here with a fine-toothed comb. Will report back, thanks so much!

Alright guys, I've been googling, searching forums, asking around for months and STILL have yet to find anything real nice that doesn't cost a million dollars. Didn't see an official aftermarket bumper thread on here (if it has been done before please delete this), and thought it'd be cool to...

    ISR Mod Pics?

CLEAN job on that! Can't believe I haven't even thought to do this yet, I've always been big on cleaning up/simplifying engine bays when appropriate.

The worst part of a 3rd gen?

Starter and rear axle seals, hands down. Not much else to complain about on these trucks, we really have it good. Have you ever driven a gm suv? LOL

    EVAP/Tank Vent Nightmare

You know, I remember a while back Mazda sent me a recall pertaining to EVAP issues from some dumb ass spiders setting up shop in vent lines on my 6. I probably should blow everything out one more time to be sure. I replaced both of those valves on top of the tank as, from what I understand, is...

    EVAP/Tank Vent Nightmare

That's interesting. I don't *think* it gets overfilled too often but you never know with these gas guys around here. The canister I replaced the original with was ridiculously clean, low miles (with a warranty), and didn't feel especially heavy or reek of gas. I'm fairly confident it's a good...

    EVAP/Tank Vent Nightmare

So I've been going through my Dad's highly neglected 2001 4runner Limited over these past few weeks. Gusseted and painted the nasty frame, rear axle seals, ebrake cables, springs and Bilstein 5100 all around, replaced every single brake line on the vehicle, as well as a full service and some...

    2002 Original Alternator

You disconnect the negative first (and re-connect last) because even if your wrench, ratchet, harborfreight visegrips, etc makes contact with the negative-ground body or chassis in the process, nothing bad is going to happen. Do the positive first and accidentally make contact, and you'll be...

    Whats wrong with my heater??

You can access both heater core connections for flushing right in the engine bay at the firewall. As far as changing said heater core, well that's another story...
