Can you go a little more into this process? My initial plan was to take all the bolts off, put a jack under the pan & pray i don't create a mess.

I am the newest member. I don't think I can get the bolt out, would it be okay to drill into the pan to create a hole for letting the fluid out? I already have a replacement pan.

I had a U-Shaped metal shim left over once from doing a HG repair on a 95 Sonoma. Had no clue where it went, put it on the bench and went for a test drive, would up being a connecter piece for fuel lines :wacko:

Nothing like dropping a valve cover bolt as you are tighteining everything down , and not being able to find it, having to do one side all over again. :noidea:
