Anyone Running Smittybilt 2780 2.54 CFM Portable Compressor

Yes I have this model. Works great. Airs up all 4 of my tires at once. Be careful though, it gets hot but cools quickly.

    5th Gen Supercharger and Towing

I have a 2014 4Runner Trail Edition. I have it slightly modified for off-road driving, e.g. lift kit, 285 Nitto's, winch & front bumper. I don't want to sell the vehicle. It has 66K miles on it. However, I'd like to tow a 21' Escape travel trailer that weighs 3460 dry. Per my Owner's Manual my...

    Serpentine Belt replacement

Guys, Great information. I've been wondering what I'd do "100 miles from nowhere" in the desert if my belt breaks on my 2014 4Runner. One thing in the threads that bothered me, and that was find the cheapest belt. The belt is one of the "single point failure points" on any vehicle. If the belt...

Rear Differential Breather Mod For Dummies

Experience with ARB Differential Breather Kit I’d like to know if anyone has had any problems with the plastic tube melting, cracking, or breaking after a couple years of use. I just got the kit, and thought flexible fuel hose would be better.

Nitto Ridge Grappler C & E Load Help

Ridge Grappler I know I’m a year late on this post but I just put 285/70 E-load rate Grapplers on my 2014 4Runner TE. My local dealer installs C-rated on their new 4Runners when they do a lift and tire swap. In NV and AZ the trails are sharp rock so I went with E-rated, also the 4Runner is not...

    Tiregate Hitchgate Installed

Licence Plate Light Wiring I forgot to mention the design of the electrical circuit. The license plate light is mounted on the swing arm portion of the Hitchgate, and electrical power has to come from the car. A person might wonder how long the electric wire has to be to accommodate opening the...

    Tiregate Hitchgate Installed

Standard Hitch Receiver I have the standard hitch receiver that came with the 4Runner. From a visual inspection and reading the loads in the owner's manual, I don't think there will be a problem with the weight. I did not get the two Jerry Can option because I was a little worried about the...

    Tiregate Hitchgate Installed

Construction The Hitchgate is powdercoated on all surfaces. I live in the Mojave desert so I'm not worried about corrosion. The swivel arm is on a large rubber bushing. Like anything in a rainy climate, the preservative, paint, coating, etc. must be maintained to prevent corrosion.

    Tiregate Hitchgate Installed

Licence Plate Light and Wobble The license plate light is wire to the standard trailer electrical junction box located under the car that came on the 4Runner. I did have to buy the piece that plugs into the junction box. See picture. It won't wobble because of the "wedge" piece (gold color in...

    Tiregate Hitchgate Installed

Baja Rack I'm not sure if I'm confused or the poster is confused. Tiregate.com offers different options to mount the spare tire. The pictures in the second post appear to be another option offered by Tiregate, not Baja. You will see the second option posted on Tiregate's Website. I did not...

    Tiregate Hitchgate Installed

Last week I called Tiregate and asked if I could bring my 2014 4Runner to their factory and have an Adventure Series Universal Hitchgate attached to my car because I was very skeptical about the ability to mount the unit in the towing receiver of the car and not have the Hitchgate wobble. I...

Odometer Reading I found the answer today. Odometer won't read in tenths, however Trip Meters do.
