So I feel like a dumba** I finally figured it out. the AM2 30a fuse was blown. To be honest I didn't really know what that fuse even controlled. Also have no idea what i did for it to blow. Now i know what it does. Thanks again for your guys help.
Thanks Dan
Anything is hard to remove after 20 years. There is a Oring on the shaft that is most likely what is giving you trouble. That Oring may be destroyed when you pull it if its that dried out.

Its a gear and a slide. If you take the motor off you can disengage the locked with a flat screwdriver. Its easier if a tire is in the air. You can also test the locker motor while is it out to make sure it turns the gear. Good luck. The motor is shot in mine and they are not cheap to...
Im not getting power threw the efi relay so i jumped it with a small wire and my engine light lights up but i cant figure out why the EFI relay isn't getting power. But i broke the starting relay trying to get it out so off to the store i go.
I was working off the only FSM i could find which was a little newer and had things i didn't thank you for the wiring diagrams those should help. I'm in central CT but hopefully i can get it straight. Is there a way to test the ECU? I'm trusting the guy that sold this to me that everything was...
I don't have a wiring diagram for my truck, not sure if i did the NSW right or not. all i keep finding is people that reused the auto harness and made it work. I'm so confused at this point i have been reading swap threads for 4 days now
I have a 97 v6 t4r that i just installed a 5 speed tranny in that was out of a 97 v6 4runner. I swapped the engine harness and the ECU. I can get the engine to turn over but it will not start. The battery was disconnected for like 2 months while i did the swap. I tried to use a scan-tool to...

Figure 4 in the book
1- The rear ends on these trucks are solid i just bought a rear locker with a unknown amount of miles on it and besides that the bearings were shot, the gearing is tight and it doesn't make any noise.
2- If you have someone to help you move it, you should be fine.
3- I wouldn't swap and drive...
disconnect the sway bar and tie it up so it doesn't hit anything and rock the truck see if it still makes noise. as for aftermarket and quality im not sure i know whatever crap brand i got didn't last long they are already dryrot after a year.
Picked up a elocker rear end and front axle with 4.30 gears at my local junk yard.
