Storing the 4Runner for 6 months

I have had a couple of classic vehicles and this is the routine for winter. We also just stored our 2020 TRD Pro for winter (yes, I know, I know): Oil change and ran prior to storage (clean oil sitting vs. dirty). This was done on vehicles that saw no more than 1K per year, so it was a yearly...

    Hood bug guard?

Yes, I think we will just leave it be for now, due to possibility of future paint damage should we ever decide to remove it.

    Hood bug guard?

Now I'm not sure if I go OEM, AVS, or nothing at all... Which ones DO NOT use tape? Has anyone had issues with the paint if you've ever had to take it off and replace it or if you got tired of it?

    Hood bug guard?

Yeah, I wasn't sure about the film wraps and declined them since this thing doesn't really do highway driving, and I've heard the wraps need to be replaced every so many years. My wife, who is the primary driver thought it looked cool when she saw one, and I figured maybe an added benefit of...

    Hood bug guard?

Which one do you guys go with? We have a 2020 TRD Pro and thought the bug guard looks pretty good and protects the hood. We do not have any protective film on the vehicle at all, so I thought this might be a good alternative. Toughts and suggestions? Does anyone have a picture of one on an Army...

Jeep Gladiator or waiting for 6th Gen 4runner

Our H3 is about to hit 304K, and the 5.3L V8 is still chugging along well. For as much as I complain about GM, they know how to build an engine.

Mini review: Husky Liners vs Toyota rubber mats

I have those in our 2020 TRD Pro, Husky's in our Hummer H3, and Weathertech in our Grand Cherokee. The Toyota rubber mats are the most aesthetically pleasing and feel the heaviest but the don't have as big of a lip as the other two. If you plan to off road a lot and/or get in the car with...

    Tints?

Thanks for insight. State of Illinois is 35% all around with 5% variance. Technically, if you have 20% in rear you can only do 50% tint up front. Mine are probably just barely legal, not that I care anyway.

    Tints?

So had our 2020 TRD Pro front windows tinted and asked the fronts be as close to the rears as possible. We metered the rears, which showed 30%, which I thought was about right since the Toyotas seem to run lighter than some competitors. He suggested we go 35% up front since there the front...

Jeep Gladiator or waiting for 6th Gen 4runner

We have a 2020 TRD Pro and a 2011 Grand Cherokee Limited Hemi with 94K maintained to a T. The Jeep is great looking, well built, and rides very nicely (based on Mercedes ML from the Daimler days). We went with the Hemi over the Pentastar for better reliability since the latter was new that year...

    5000 mile service

I seem to recall when we bought ours that the first two years maintenance is covered as standard now. Basically, up to 4 oil changes every 6 months for first two years and whatnot. I have to take mine in at the end of March for its first one at 6 months. I may get push back though because the...

    2021 Trail Editions

It's all good. AG is a great color as is Cement. At least Toyota listened to their customers who wanted more of these colors. Still, they shouldn't hype the specialty colors for the Pro anymore if this is what they are going to do going forward. I guess we shouldn't be surprised since the Tacoma...

    2021 Trail Editions

My post this morning was my initial reaction after paying sticker to get the "exclusive" AG on our 2020 Pro, which we got first week of October after waiting six months for it to come in. Then I read into this more and realized this is a limited run of 4,000 units across four colors, so maybe...

    2021 Trail Editions

Honestly, this annoys me to no end. We got an Army Green TRD Pro and waited 6 months to get it because it is the color my wife had to have. Plus, we thought it would be cool to have a rare color on a rare trim. WE certainly did not need a TRD Pro since she will never off-road it. I'm sure some...

    2021 TRD Pro special color?

I think Radiant Red is the best, next color. Perfect follow up to the Army Green. They could go with the yellow too, although yellow cars tend to not sell well vs. resale red. I had a 2010 Detonator Yellow Challenger SRT-8 that sat on the dealer lot for well over a year before I bought it, and...
