    3rd Gen Scangauge II Owners!

Transmission temperature in Degrees C Being a proud Canuck I figured I wanted all my gauges in C so I reached out to tech support and they came back with this. Change the MTH from 00090005FFD8 > 00010001FFD8 It would appear it works. I 3D printed up a bracket and a ball and socket joint out of...

    Using an obd-2 scanner

ODBII with advanced functions I am searching for the cheapest solution for a ODBII device that allows active test. Like cycling door actuators and looking at status of Neutral starting switch. I am sure techstream will do that but it takes a while for a cable to arrive from offshore. ;-) I just...

3rd generation key fobs yes or no?

Some ideas. Thanks The dealer used the Service tool which uses a different sequence. But moving the levers might help. I think you do have to move the door switch twice instead of the 10 or so times. You would have though the Tech would know that. :-( I have been reading a couple of threads...

3rd generation key fobs yes or no?

I am working through a couple things on Betty, my New ;-) 2000 4Runner. It's an SR5 V6 Auto. I have got some new keys cut and from what I understand the SR5 should have key fobs. I have got some and can't seem to enter the programming sequence on the vehicle. Even took to dealer and they said...

Looking to buy this 3rd gen...thoughts?

It’s got less rust than the 2000 I just picked up. ;-) The more I look at mine the less I am concerned about the rust. Mine was cheap so I expect to spend some money. Most of my rust is in things that can be easily replaced. Suspension parts. A lot of the frame still has factory paint on...

How much did you pay for your 3rd gen?

Nice looking ride, Much cleaner than mine and looks like much less surface rust than mine. I suspect much less salt than we get up hear in the great white North.

Baby steps Removed passenger drum on new 2000 SR5. Even has some brake shoe left. And a bit of rust. Betty never ceases to amaze me.

    Naming your 4Runner/Rig

Betty Kid named our “New” 2000 SR5 Betty after Betty White, old Grey and wont die. She just keeps on ticking over. I think it’s a great name. Dave

    any 4runner around british columbia?

Newbie in Surrey Just dragged my 00 back from Nelson. Should be just broken in at 333K It needs some TLC but looks solid. Last weekend my daughter and I started to clean it up before we send it to a shop for some mechanical work I don’t feel like tackling in the driveway in the pouring rain...
