I cant say Ive had the same problems. Ive got about 7k on mine and there isnt any drifting that i notice. Do you have the stock tires on it still? Dont know if that would make a difference, but just a guess.

Middle of the summer temps average between 110-120. In the winter it gets to freezing or so at night, and 40's - 50's in the day.

That heat is a killer when its been parked for awhile during the summer! I kept a pair of sunglasses in the storage cubby by the rear view mirror and the lenses got all crazed and cracked summer before last. I definitely dont keep them there anymore!
