Nope they said they spliced it. Plus I'm a tech so I know how warranty works and they usually don't want to pay for jack. At least Honda doesn't. As long as it wasn't SRS related they usually have us splice. Sometimes I don't agree with it but that's how it is.

I was a Honda tech for many years and it's the same thing with them. I replaced door lock actuators and window regulators/motors constantly. I remember a crv with all 4 lock actuators bad at the same time.
