I tried this. IF I am doing it correctly I can roll down the back window (the window that is on the "trunk") from inside of my car. I did what you said and it still did not work.

you are right it was just a plastic cover over the electronics. I took the back panel almost off, it was being stopped from being completely taken off by the handle that you can used to pull the back hatch down. if that makes sense. Every wire i saw that could possibly be plugged in was plugged...
