175k or more miles... should I be worried??

I wanted something around 150k or less. Ended up getting a 05' v8 4x4 with 187k. Drove it almost 4 years, did some nice mods, sold it with 249k for over 4K more than I paid for it... I just couldn't afford the gas anymore. I loved that thing! It was one of the cleanest around. I listed it when...

    WTB silver 4th gen v6 4x4

Gas mileage. Her v6 is getting 375-400 miles a tank. I'm getting 275-300 on a good week. People that say it isn't much different are wrong. It gets better mileage towing as well. I love my v8. If I don't find something that really excites me, I'll just keep it. When I got it, I wanted...

    WTB silver 4th gen v6 4x4

I feel like I'm looking for a unicorn and I already have a unicorn. My 4Runner is pending sale, don't want to sell unless I find exactly what I'm looking for. I'm looking to get back into a v6 4x4. Silver is my color of choice and I want dark grey/charcoal cloth interior. Absolutely do NOT...

    WTB 03-05 Upper Grill

If it broke in the 10 and 2 areas (best way I could think of describing it), they usually do that. Glas it back together and continue. Threw mine in the garbage, ordered an 06'. Before it came in I decided I didn't have anything to lose so I got it out of the garbage can and put it back together...

    TCC switch

That's why my thought was to do it coming out of the ECU or at the trans. In the old days it was easy to do lol. It does better in 4th but then once you get past normal rpm in 4th and up shift it does it anyway although it isn't as bad because you held it longer than if it shifted on it's...

    TCC switch

I think I need the G-Y wire out of the brake switch going through J4 to the ECU STP circuit. Looks like it is a normally open circuit that sends voltage to ECU to disengage TCC. That makes it a little more complicated but still doable. Will need to experiment before making any permanent changes.

    TCC switch

Has anyone wired in a switch to the TCC side of the brake switch? Thinking about trying this for towing and certain times when I don't want TCC. Mine goes into lock up sometimes when I don't want it to under light throttle. If so, what wire did you tap into. Anyone have a diagram of the brake...

What did you do with your 4runner today?

I've been on the forum off and on for a few years. It is a Kriss Vector in 9mm with a sig brace. Very unique technology. Most fun I've had squeezing a trigger. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

To those who have driven other 4.7 Toyotas..

No question the v8 has more power and torque, the awd just takes more. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Pull your front shaft out and drive it for a few days. Then you'll realize what it takes to push the awd. It feels like a different truck. But I do love the v8 awd. Too bad it pretty much never snows here. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
