Has anyone wired in a switch to the TCC side of the brake switch?
Thinking about trying this for towing and certain times when I don't want TCC. Mine goes into lock up sometimes when I don't want it to under light throttle. If so, what wire did you tap into. Anyone have a diagram of the brake switch that shows the TCC wire ?

Not sure what you mean by TCC, but here's the schematic.

I tapped the switched output of the stop switch at the IC3 connector in the driver's side kick panel when I was installing my remote start / security system.

Okay... I think the portion you are interested is where the stop signal is supplied to the engine control unit (ECU), to be passed on to the transmission.

This happens on the far left side of the first page on the top left line leaving the gray box representing junction 3C. I'll attach the V8 ECU schematic to help. The section you're interested in is on page two on the right side. Same green/yellow wire (note that my schematics are all for the 2003, so the wire colors may be different).

In the connector file, terminal IC3 is shown on pages 5 and 6. It's the blue connector behind the drivers kick panel.

Junction 3C is shown in the relay location file. On page two you can see the bold label for Center J/B. Junction 3C layout is shown on page 9 and the stop signal is passed over the 4 pins marked as B on the second connector from the top.

I think I need the G-Y wire out of the brake switch going through J4 to the ECU STP circuit. Looks like it is a normally open circuit that sends voltage to ECU to disengage TCC. That makes it a little more complicated but still doable. Will need to experiment before making any permanent changes.

The problem is you'll most likely create a DTC in the system with the method you're proposing which will in turn disable TRAC & VSC function and/or another side effect.

Shifting it into 4th gear doesn't change the behaviour? I can't remember exactly if that tells the system not to engage TCC when it's not in "D", I'll have to see if I can find some better information on that in the literature as so far it's just telling me what enables it but nothing specifically about gear selection.

That's why my thought was to do it coming out of the ECU or at the trans.
In the old days it was easy to do lol.
It does better in 4th but then once you get past normal rpm in 4th and up shift it does it anyway although it isn't as bad because you held it longer than if it shifted on it's own.
